Well folks i have came very close with three p&y bucks. way better season than i have expected. It just hasent been meant to be. there was always something holding me back from sending a shaft but they were in range so i feel i have won some of the battle. I did have three sightings of a fourth buck on the edge of being book buck but cant get him close enough yet. problen now is our fire arm season is in full swing and im toting my bow amoungst them. I had the whole 800 acre lease for myself besides my son but some of the members are gun hunters and have moved in and the deer are stirred up now :bash: I have passed more 85-105 bucks than ever before. On a good note there are gonna be some/alot of dandys next season. Its not over yet and im still commited to a 3.5 or better this season. just a personal goal i guess and im loving every minute of it.

Atleast your seeing good deer, and passing a lot of good young ones. It's always very encouraging to see really nice 2.5 yr old bucks. The little ones don't get big if you don't pass on them when they're young. Your almost there. Good luck.

You've definitely already one just seeing bucks of that caliber. Just keep at it. Maybe they'll be pushed into your area. By the way, R those hunters aware of you being out there?

Keep at it. Your attitude is right, your still having fun. That is what its about even when the times are tough. I get tired of people complaining and being seriously upset. Sounds like your the opposite, you can have some frustration when you have close encounters with the big boys but don't close the deal. However, this makes your respect for these animals grow even more. It'll happen this year or next. Keep having fun.
