I am hoping someone has some good advice for shooting in the field with a cold weather hunting jacket on. I am left handed and my shots push right when I wear my jacket. It is not overly bulky, but just enough to touch the string and move the bow. I even went to a shorter draw length just so I could put a little more arc in my bow arm, but the problem still persists. My current cure is just to aim a little to the left depending on the distance. I have tried a guard but all that does is add extra bulk. Today I was contemplating a binder clip on the back side of my arm to pull the jacket tight on my forearm or maybe some sort of seamstress surgery on the coat itself. Any helpful hints would be appreciated.

it may be a form issue. if you hold the bow in the wrong position with your hand it will force your forearm to close to the string. Just food for thought.

Look at the Buckwing saveyur armguards. Do a search on it, it looks like the ticket to me. I'm thinking of ordering one.

Dont aim differently because of that ...!!!!

Get some rubber bands , Velcro straps , Hockey tape , A sock with the end cut off -- Get something vs. Aiming wrong.........

You may not like the idea, but try a Heater Body Suit.. http://www.heaterbodysuit.com/ all I wear is a T-shirt and my UA when sitting ( and pants, socks etc :P ).. But it does take some practice getting your arms out quietly with your bow. just wear a jacket out then when you get up in your stand take it off and climb in the suit. I enjoy it, because I absolutely can't stand shooting bow with bulky clothing on my arms.. Good luck on your hunts and I hope you find your solution to this quickly so you can get out there ;)
