How many hours do you spend on stand a year?

Last year prob about 15 hours (ate tag soup) I'm guessing it will be close to 50 this year depending on if I get lucky or not.

If I can hunt every day of the season and shoot a deer on the last min of the last day... I would be a happy man.

I would really hate to know the answer to that for myself. I had 50 hrs in one 4 day weekend

I'm primarily a weekend warrior... And even on the weekends I usually only hunt afternoons/evenings since I only hunt 40 acres.

I will sit all day a time or 2 during the rut/rifle season.

Hopefully at least 16-20 a week this upcoming season! ( If my wife lets me out that much, 3 teenage girls at home!)

Those are probably two of the most honest answers you'll receive regarding the OP's question. :tu:
Not saying that other answers are not honest... it's just these answers are not theoretical or hypothetical - they're practical.

I will be hunting about 240 hours this season. Maybe less if I can fill my tags early.

I generally hunt 2-3 weekday evenings, so say 9-10 hours per week there. Then Saturday (my bad back can only take 4-4.5 hours or so at a time in a stand) so 8-9 hours per week for Saturdays. Last season I also hunted Sundays in Ohio twice a month so another 16-18 hours per month there. So being conservative, 36 weekday hours per month in Pa + 32 weekend hours per month in Pa + 16 hours per month in Oh = 84 hours per month. Pa's season is 6 weeks, Ohio much longer. I would roughly estimate it at 130 hours per season between the two states. More than some, a lot less than others

Being in school time is limited. I usually get about 10 hours on weekdays and then a Friday evening hunt at home as well as a morning and evening hunt on Saturday. About 15-17 hours a week.

I spent 4.5 hours sitting in a tree last season. 3 hours in one sit where I only saw does. 1 hour sit to get my buck and 1/2 hour to get the mean old boss doe

I didn't keep track exactly but last year was 100+ hours for sure (even with my season being cut shirt by surgery). This year I'm gonna keep a log like the fitzmeister!
