Not sure this is the right area to post this but I am looking to help my buddies wife plan a hunt out West for either Elk or Antelope while trying to throw in a little pheasant hunting since he loves to pheasant hunt. I have looked at several DCNR links but having absolutely zero experience in heading West to hunt I wonder if some of you guys could help me out. We are not looking for the typical "trophy" hunt because she and I know that any hunt that he goes on will be end up being "Trophy" worthy! I have a list of things that I would like to know.... Maybe a few of you guys could help me out! 1. Which states require a guide due to being an out of state hunter? 2. Ease of obtaining a license? Would prefer to do an over the counter type hunt if possible! 3. Hunting accessibility... Is there public land or will I have to seek permission to go hunting there? 4. Archery license requirements?
