    Hello
I am a new member and have a question about hunting from the ground. A friend gave me a good deal on his old bow so I am getting back into bow hunting. I decided to do this kind of late and haven't had much time to prepare.

I can hunt a thin fence line and brush draw behind my house. I have been watching the deer and getting a idea of their pattern.

The fence line is around 20' wide with thick brush and trails crossing through it. I set up a small blind using local materials. I have a good shooting lane at a crossing and also an area into the cornfield. I know that the deer will change where they cross as the season progresses. Am I hunting this correctly? I am hesitant to set up a tree stand since the treeline is so thin.

I have another option to set up in this brush draw. there are two areas with brush piled up about 15' tall. the deer have been spending a lot of time feeding in front of the brush. I can make a blind at the base and shoot uphill.

I would appreciate any ideas about the best ways to hunt this area. There are a lot of deer in the area, I just need to get them close.

I am located in central Iowa.

    Thanks for any help.
