it is wear and tear on the body, I hunted more last season than any other season in my life-I also saw more decent bucks than any other year hunting - I plan to hunt as much as possible again this year - requires a certain degree of mental toughness as well - but I would hunt everyday if I could maybe not both sits but definitely afternoons
Most of my history of success I credit almost solely to being able to spend HUGE amounts of time in a tree. From about 05 on, my time has incrementally decreased, but I have been fortunate to still have taken some nice bucks. But give me more time to hunt any year and I'll be happy & more likely successful Although, I do have a tough time putting more than 5-6 consectutive dark to dark hunts in. That takes a toll.
As long as I switch hunting areas and stand sites sitting every day would be ok. But I don't hunt that often unless its the peak days of the rut. I try to make a point not to go if I am very tired or the wind will not be right. Its tough sometimes thinking that a big buck may come past a stand if I don't go but its tougher knowing I blew an opportunity by going when I should have stayed home.
