    Thanks Sliver.

I know you do too. Someday I'm gonna tap into your mind a little more on these things.

Good read Mike!! Mock scrapes have become one of my favorite ways to hunt now. Actually hunting scrapes period Is a blast. It's a learned art and once you catch on It's a very good tactic.

Great read Mike!!!! I also like scrape hunting but as you probably know up here in my neck of the woods they like to hit them during the night time. I get a few 1 1/2 yr old hitting either at first light or last light on my game cams. The more mature bucks in my area come in between midnight and 4AM. I also plan on making another mock scrape this year but using a different scrape kit then last years.
In lower pressure areas to me this is the best style of hunting period.

Try hunting the public land around you.

Awesome write up mike, I wrote on the facebook page too. I love hunting over mock scrapes with buck fever synthetic products. It just ups my annie for attraction, and big buck activity is non stop!

I meant it for Mike.. like a Title .. good read so far btw, one of my most productive scrapes in the 90s and early turn of the century was about 15 feet off of a year around creek.. I moved from that area 7 years ago so I don't drive out there to hunt it much but I agree having that water enterance and exit can really help with scent..

I think it greatly depends on not just the scrape.. but the location of it as well "Big deal Neal".

I've always seen the most amount of daylight activity over my mock scrapes in late late October.. but more general (day and night) activity the first 15 days of November.

But I've only been monitoring my scrapes with camera for 2 years solidly now. So my results are just that.. I never used cameras before.

It would be my guess that your scrape is near a doe area.. and not really within the nearer realm of the bucks. So your activity is mostly at night.. except when the bucks leave their favorite places to look for love... like the rut.

Mike, do you have more success and sightings working with a scrape line or do you just try to focus on a single scrap for the specific area you are hunting?

Also, what time in the year have you found it best to introduce the mock scrape? Thanks for the write up too, I am taking some notes.
