Maybe that's why they moved manufacturing overseas. They need extra money to cover hunting "expenses."

Seriously, that is disappointing. These guys should know better.

Nice. Those guys have the money, the connections... and yet they still act like low-life poachers.

    Makes me sick.

Amazing. All of that BS just to hunt deer. What a sad state of affairs.

I though he had sold his interest in Lone Wolf?

"Uncle Ted" got caught doing the same thing. Lawful deer hunting is not as glamorous as whats shown on TV. I would be willing to bet that most of them do it.

Hell, not once but TWICE, in 2009 and again in 2005 he was busted illegally getting a driver's license as well!!! That doesn't bode well with me, I think the judge should have arranged for a PERMANENT HUNTING BAN in the state of Illinois considering the fact he didn't learn his lesson the FIRST time!!! :whip:

Bruce I'm not sure if he did or not, I was basing my assumption on some other articles I read about him recently:

    http://www.grandviewoutdoors.com/bo...18/interview-with-lone-wolf-andrae-d-acquisto

Funny in this interview he didn't mention baiting as an effective tactic, go figure.

"In 2005, Andrae D'Acquisto was cited for fraudulently obtaining Illinois resident hunting licenses, resident deer permits and providing false information to obtain an Illinois driver's license in Cass County. D'Acquisto ultimately pled guilty to an amended charge of obstructing a peace officer and was fined a total of $2,000 in Cass County."

Now in 2010-11 he has new baiting charges and just in case you are interested this is from 2000:

    http://www.wisbar.org/res/capp/z1999/99-2712.htm

Yeah, let me read some more articles where he comments on the reasons hunters are unsuccessful is because they are "sloppy" and "overhunting", maybe it's because they aren't baiting or hunting after legal shooting hours. What a joke.

I do not understand why the punishment wasn't greater the second time around. Obviously he didn't learn anything from the first time he got caught. What a P.O.S!

Wow, a whopping $2205 in fines...sure they were sitting over bait again in 2010 without tags...why not.

Nice example he's setting for his son!

The guy has the money to do things the right way(legally) and still have everything in his favor possible. Yet he still stoops to poaching. Sad.

Sad that he will forever be known for being a poacher. That in some way it will reflect on the rest of us. And the most sad of all, there will be several who will still look up to him, defend his actions and worse yet, try to be like him.

The article just says License and Habitat stamp. Absolutely not defending him, but I almost did the same thing this year. I had my tags, but nearly forgot to buy my license and habitat stamp. Good thing the landowner had a computer and internet there so I could buy them online and not have to run around Podunk IL looking for a license vendor.

Yeah, getting caught once is bad, but twice.....:whip:

I said it a while back......there's a LOT more hunters baiting deer (both legally and illegally) than we know of. This is but one example.

" The remaining charges, including hunting deer by the aid of bait, contribute to unlawful baiting and making salt and mineral available for deer were dismissed."

It's worth noting that these charges were dismissed due to a plea deal not because it didn't happen.

With the type of finacial backing he has (should have), you would think he should have some pretty good areas to hunt. Why bait? Only thing I can think of is maybe the DVD/TV show business had the pressure on a non-productive season. (or 2)
