I have a spot about 200 yards from a sports field. Great dear and nice bucks in the area. Only after getting in my stand an sitting for an hour did it dawn on me (as the loudspeaker erupted) that a football game would be going on today.

So what's y'all's thought. Are deer that are pinched in a small urban area freaked out and bed during a game? Or would it probably not affect them too much since they are always by it. Heck they bed 100 yards from the field where people always are so I think it's not a huge issue, but I'm already in my stand so I may be partial haha

How it affects the mature bucks, I can't answer. I have had chances to observe deer behavior in an "urban" environment. From my observations, deer that grow up around constant human pressure and influence seem to grow accustomed to the hustle and bustle. When I was younger, there were several deer that would actually interact with neighborhood pets (the younger deer would actually play with my dog). I would just watch and wait. One thing is for certain, if you're not there, you stand zero chance of harvesting anything.

The deer always hung around our practice field during games. They seemed to be used to the lights, speakers and noise
