Sounds like a big community scrape where a lot of bucks will scent check for does. That is a spot to be ready to hunt right after a rainfall.
Also wanted to change direction a little bit here and ask you guys, how do you typically find doe bedding areas? The internet is full of methods to find mature buck bedding, but what type of terrain features and stuff do you look for to find Doe bedding? Problem with hunting bedding areas is getting out of the stand when the deer come back to bed. A very easy stand to burn out quick, if you get in without getting busted.
I've found out that buck bedding and doe bedding arent mutually exclusive. Sometimes a great bedding area may have bucks that are bedded within 50 to 100 yds of the does, right in that same bedding area. Remote and unique cover that is set up on terrain that makes use of a consistent wind makes up a lot of the bedding I have found.
I feel like all the beds are off the small property I hunt, but I also hate walking the woods when it’s 100 degrees so I limit where I go. I assume these are doe beds? They sit on the edge of beans and a draw overlooking my parking spot.
I believe its ok to hunt the doe bedding, not only is it ok its a great idea. I also believe you can be aggressive and frankly often need to in order to kill a good buck. The reality is the bucks know where the does are bedded and they are going to be cruising around harassing the does anyway. Don't confuse aggressive with being stupid. You want to be smart about it but get in there. Hang a new set if you need to. Most of my good bucks are from first sits in fresh sets.
