Hunting arrow weight

    If you had a target weight for 415gr for all of your arrows, how close do you want them to match each other in weight, for myself, I try to get them within 1 grain of each other....am I being too picky...

    When you buy broadheads many times they won't weigh the same. Broadheads and field tips will vary a grain or 2 quite often. Nothing to worry about In the least.

    Bowsniper... I feel you're being a tad too picky. If we were world-class target archers, that tolerance would probably not be enough - but we're hunting archers. A grain or two isn't going to make a hill of beans to our sport.

    On the other hand - archery is a game of variables, and eliminating as many as possible is a good thing. Just my humbled opinion.

    a couple of grains give or take wont make much different. That being said I do make sure all my arrows group well, seems that there i always a flyer around....good to mark it and keep her out of the hunting quiver. Usually a flyer can be correct, new nock, check for straightness, reset the insert ect ect...
