I have a app on my phone that makes deer calls. Should I start them when I get into the stand or wait until I actually start seeing them?

I wouldn't use an app to make noises in the woods. If you are wanting to use calls, I would go buy an actual grunt tube and rattling antlers or something similar. Much more realistic sounding IMO

I wouldn't use the apps at all IMO, way too digital and check local law for electric calls and deer.
