I saw some one talking hunting over corn fields after being cut. Does same go for beans or not. Have a stand that over looked corn last year and if not much luck with cut beans I was debating on moving it. Still new to this as this is my 4th full season hunting. Thanks for the advice ahead of time.

Ya know I haven't hunted over that much corn fields but I have hunted over some bean fields. That being said I can't really compare the 2 but I'll say this. The deer I hunted didn't bed in the field or anything like that... I've heard people say that deer bed in corn but I've never seen that so I can't say that. Deer will feel more comfortable getting out in the beans when they're still uncut. Usually if there's a slightly low spot off on a field edge (which hides them) or in the shade they will congregate there. Every now and then they will bed in a bean field. Haven't seen it that much but it has occurred, usually in one of those low lying areas. When they cut the beans the deer will be feeding on them for the next little bit usually dies down after ab 4 days. This is just the properties I've hunted here in Arkansas so it could be different elsewhere. I hunted over corn one year and there were deer everywhere. Seemed like it provided a ton more security than beans do. Plus I've had bean piles next to corn piles (my dad was a farmer) and the corn did a much better job than the beans. They would eat the beans but they'll tackle corn like it's cocaine.

Couldn't agree more!!! Go sit on those field edges. The deer will be coming for the free food. I talked to the farmer on the farm I hunt and he counted 13 deer in the field while he was cutting the corn last year. It's just too bad that was like 5 days before the season opened.

We always leave a few rows and a box like cutout when we cut the fields if its beans we leave the box filled in
It has proven a very good set up.
yellow is beans or corn green is tree line
