I have heard a lot of people having success hunting on the front end of cold fronts moving into the area. Since we have had two days of cold rain and winds from the hurricane, I am wondering if getting out tonight would be a smart idea... Anyone have any thoughts about hunting on the back end of a cold front? It will be in the low 60s all day today, followed by the high 70s tomorrow.

My experience has been great on the back end of rain, storms, etc etc. Great time to be out.

Yes it could be good. Usually a storm or front is followed by rising pressure and higher the pressure the better!

I would hunt it. Animal movement picks up a lot as the weather improves after a storm.

I tend to see a lot of deer movement before and after storms. when the barometer is rising or falling, is a good time to be in the woods.

I've always seen deer movement after the rain or the trailing end of a storm. Tree umbrella is a great investment.

The 36 hours that follow a storm can be great.

My advice you can't kill them from the couch so you should be out!!!! I have noticed more activity before and after storms though. Last year in NC the day after hurricane Matthew came through I had a bunch of doe come through.

What's that, a diamond ring? Trip to the Caribbean? Hour long massage? I'm sure you can't be insinuating anything else...
