I lost both of my certificates too. I called the Mn DNR and they sent me duplicates a few weeks ago so I could apply for a muley license In Colorado. It cost's me 5.00 bucks.

I have my archery certification from Idaho, I didnt need to take the class because I was grandfathered in, but I needed it back in 2001 to get on the hunters host program in Alberta. So I took it and its still in my wallet.

I'm grandfathered in in MO, but I'll probably take the hunter and bowhunter ed sometime soon. I know you need the bowhunter ed to hunt some states and it would be nice to have if I needed it for an application.

I took the Hunter Ed Class back in 1979 or 1980. I could not find my card here in 2001 and i filled out an affidavit and the PA GC sent me a replacement Certificate.
In 2004 i took my Bowhunters Ed Class and i i have that Certificate (You DON'T need it yet to buy your Archery stamp thou).

I have mine in my wallet. When I moved up to WI I had to get a copy of it so I could buy a license up here. I also needed it when I went on a elk hunt in CO. Good thing to have.

This is what i've experienced as well. I've bought my hunting license at wally world in Chambersburg, Carlisle, Bloomsburg and Lewistown and have never been denied for not having a previous license or hunter ed card. I'm sure one of these years i'm gonna have to find my card.

I have mine. Alot of states require it for nonresisdents. Not just a hunting license from the previous year.

It's mandatory here in NC...you have to have it to get a license no matter what age you are. I keep all my hunting cards/tags in a waterproof license holder from Walmart $1.60.

Absolutely have one.... Some states require you to carry it on you when you hunt - while others require you to send them a photo copy to apply etc....

I was Grandfatherd in also, I did take it with my oldest son when he came back from Iraq.

Funny how our government will have you shoot people in another country, but make you have a permit to shoot an animal here.
