Anyone using one of these? They look a lot like the wild game cams that I use currently. I picked up a new property and need to get cams out, but money is tight. Was wondering if these are worth a try or if they are not worth it. Thanks guys.
Not exactly sure on that particular model but one of the Hunten cams is doing well from posts I read on chasingame.com and a couple others not so much. If I was you looking for cheap cams I'd look for last years WGI w6x or the old x6c or a covert CA3.0...these should be running around 50$ or so and have proven to be decent performers. But take a look at chasingame reviews and forum for a bunch of good prepurchase info. BTW -They were affiliated with WGI a few years ago but Hunten was one of the partners going on his own I guess...the cams are manufactured by the same company in china for a couple models(I believe the N series, IR series, and the old S and Z series for wgi are similiar to Hunten)
never mind...found a few. looks like they are around $80. I found the hunten for $62. Not a big difference but im tryin to get 3 cams on a $200 budget...so it makes enough of a difference.
I could maybe do $70 per cam if anyone has any other suggestions or any reviews on the hunten Id still like to hear
GSC30-30IR review http://www.chasingame.com/index.php?id=241 I do think that Walmart had a Tasco for pretty cheap that has been ok but just dont' expect any of these really cheap cams to last much more than thier warranty period...lucky if you get 2 yrs of use out of them. I did take a look around and can't see why the w6x(which was a good deal at 50-60$ over this winter/spring) is selling for 80$ +....I have a couple of them and like them for scouting cams. I also have a Covert Ca 3.0(and an Edge8.1) that is nice and small and does well for scouting with good battery life(looks like this is still priced over 80$ as well). I haven't been on ebay looking at trailcams in a while but pinemountainarchery used to have some pretty good deals on various cams as did sportsmans guide.
I have one. IMO its a great cam for the price. Has Decent trigger speed, camo pattern, sensing and battery life. Heres a few pics
hey man - I almost posted the link to your pics over there bout an hour ago but figured he'd see em if he went lookin
10-4...thank you fellas. I can deal with that forsure. I have alot of ground to cover and not alot of time to do it, that should do just fine. Thanks again!
Heres a few pics from the cheap tasco. It's a decent cam for the money, but i'd rather spend a bit more and get the Hunten GSC30-30IR.
Yup , but I got mine used off ebay for $24 It's now a little over a yr old if i'd go by the Manufacturer date.
Nice...not bad at all. I seen that one the other day but was scared. Might have to give it a second look. Thanks for sharing bud!!!
