So I finished my recap of BHOD on my Roku last night. After that I was searching Netflix for something to watch. I came across this documentary on food and health called "Hungry for Change". Not sure if anyone else on here has seen it or not but I strongly suggest checking it out. It was an eye opening documentary for sure. Made me realize how unhealthy I am actually living and gives great pointers and advice as to what I, or anyone, can do to start living better through your diet. I'm going to be making some serious changes to my diet and lifestyle after viewing this. On a side note I was wondering if anyone on here has and uses a juicer regularly or used to? I'm looking into starting this and am looking for any pointers or advice. What machines are good, which aren't, any good recipes etc... thanks a ton y'all. Jeremy (REMYNGTON)
I don't use one. But I can tell you eating healthy gets expensive. I dont eat unhealthy, but I do loosen my belt at times. My thing is, you gotta enjoy life. Eating healthy probably wont stop brain cancer or those other crazy diseases that life hits you with. It'll only maybe stop strokes, heart attacks, diabetes and those other diseases. I got to the doctor every year and im healthy so I stay with my eating habits = ) But remember, that even thin, not fact people can get those disease we usually attribute to obesity.
Totally agree with you about the health issues. I don't plan on going super crazy and fanatical about it. But I do plan on making some changes just to improve my health as much as possible. Believe me I'll still enjoy some of the "comfort" foods in life.
Instead of a juicer I bought a wal-mart version of the "magic bullet" mixer. I just do fruits in that, its a one serving cup and works out good for me in the mornings.
That's not a bad idea. I will keep that in mind. I'm thinking I wanna go the juicer route though because I plan on doing a lot of fruits and hearty veggies all together.
Which of the versions of the "magic bullet" did you get? How does it do making the juices for you? Do you only use fruits or do you do veggies in it aswell?
I go on healthy kicks for about a month...then relapse into Chipotle. I will check out the documentery though. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
Its definitely worth the watch Caleb. Like I said before I don't plan on going all super fanatical, health nut crazy but it is for sure an eye opener. Also gives great tips to better your health.
It's a good one. So is "Food, Inc.", "The Future of Food", "Fat sick & Nearly Dead", and "King Corn".
Haven't seen any of those. I really liked the "Hungry for Change" one so I'll definitely have to check those out aswell Fitz. Thanks dude
