    Even with only one buck tag in my pocket, I would shoot that deer. With two tags, I would probably seek him out. Good luck... hopefully he crosses your path and makes you decide.

    There is nothing wrong with that deer, he is just saving up until November. By december he should be all dry :nana:

    One more question, let's just say I get lucky and get him this season and find out that it is a tumor. Is there any concern I should have about bringing home the meat to eat?

    I personally wouldn't hesitate. I'm not eating the tumor though :poke:

    I wouldn't eat it, however some states will give you a replacement tag if you shoot a deer that they have deemed unfit for consumtion. Check your local laws but I know here in PA you can do that.
