Looking through my newest issue of Petersen's Bowhunting, I couldn't help but note something the editor made mention of in his intro column. Later, I found an advertisement in the magazine for this camo "system." Basically, it's claiming that the suit blocks the emission of electromagnetic fields from our bodies which causes a deer's "sixth sense" to kick in:cool: Just when I thought I've seen it all.

What are your thoughts on this? Could it be the next Scent-Lok?:D

More information can be found here.

    6th sense apparel

This clothing is just designed to stop deer from sensing that their is a human near by experiencing "buck fever", it doesn't eliminate or absorb human odor in any way that I understand it.

Neat idea though, who would have thought it.

The scent-lok comparison wasn't implying it blocks scent as much as the "craze" it created based on it's perceived necessity.

Humans do emit strong pheromones when experiencing strong or negative emotions. Foxes can pick up on these and if fear is detected they'll be aggressive and hold their ground but it they sense confidence then they'll retreat.

    Solid.

Lol, definitely not. And no, no plans to purchase. :o

I just remember stumbling across that fact about the foxes in a Steve Chapman book, 365 Things Every Deer Hunter Should Know I think it was.

In all reality, the logic and the science is apparently there. But am I going to spend money one something that's supposed to block the supernatural? Me thinks not.

Seems as though the equipment I use now works well enough. There's no way I could bring myself to spend that much money on something that is most likely just a gimmick.

This, combined with the stache, and you should be golden.

I think I read somewhere....that this is a side effect from P90X. I could be wrong.

I know HCH quit calling me out when I let him know I was a P90X man. Maybe he was just repelled by my electromagnetic energy. Or maybe it was my overly confident pheromones. Or maybe his dad didnt pay the phone bill. Hard to say.

Oh, these advancements in technologies are so great. Pretty soon, they'll develop a literal deer magnet and we won't even have to hunt them anymore. We'll just turn on our deer magnets and take our pick of which one to shoot. It'll be a great day for hunters everywhere.

This thing is pretty awesome though. They are selling a product that is based on a technology that cannot be tested in any way, shape, or form, and it is trying to help the hunter overcome a "sense" that cannot be proven (or disproven) to exist. So, you would literally have to buy this thing just b/c they say it works and for no other reason. Good thing for them a sucker is born every minute. I'm sure they will make more than the majority of us on this board combined selling a product that literally does nothing. Awesome, truly awesome.

Of course, the majority of hunters have been sold on scent-blocker clothing, so what the hell?
