Ty christine. Like i said u didnt say pete but other people who arent from illinois threw his shop under the bus.
Pete just restrung my Katera and it is shooting quieter and smoother than before. The new shop is just getting going but they are more in tune with Customer Service now that Pete is not working for the Man.
LOL This crap is funny! I think there are a lot of people out there that think they know what they are talking about. In the real world they dont know NOTHING! It is like Raceway, he thinks that Hoyts are good bows but in reality they are not that great! Raceway needs to leave the heavy weights alone for a while so that the blood will make him think better going to his head! I also went to a shop that the person who ran it does not know how to tie a D loop on a string. I have not gone there since! I know but lost my tool to tighten it down and needed it asap! I have a new tool now!
Woah, spinning vanes dont stabalize an arrow eh? what was he thinking, even the primitive Indians knew it did,,,,sheeeesh!! Christine, I had a huntmaster 2000 at one point also
Dude... I could tell you many horror stories after all the shops I've visited collecting information so I could write my columns and on behalf of BowTech... I usually just end up shaking my head and walking out.
What a retard !!! as for the BH being alignd with the fletch I have found it makes no difference at all.., I only do it to make my arrows look neat.
!! Same here. The only time helical would cause erratic arrow flight is if you were using a rest that didn't give you total fletch clearance like the old TM prong style rests or a bow that didn't have enough space between the riser and center shot.
Take this for what it's worth, I shoot long range and decided to buy 3 dozen Gold Tip Pro's and add helical fletching since I normally shoot straight. I removed the helical fletching on all of these shafts within two weeks after I realized they were causing my arrows to oscilate in a not so perfect circle shooting down range (field tips). A man would never know this unless you are shooting target at ranges of 80+ where you have time to observe the flight characteristics of the arrow. Helical fletching makes it much more difficult to get clearance on rest and scope housings when your pushing your equipment to the extremes.
Keep in mind that this sport is greatly affected by theories. Some people's theories, though they may seem logical, are not real world applicable. This is simply a lack of education and being closed minded. If you hear a theory, or have a question as such, the best thing to do is ask around (a couple people), study this for yourself, and then come to your conclusion.
