So I decided to hunt Indiana since I tagged out in SW Ohio last week. I have some trail pictures of a deer I want to harvest. Yesterday walking in the woods I found the buck dead lying there without any visible wounds. I'm guessing car but not sure, he wasn't even stiff yet. Probably knew I was coming so just had a heart attack thinking about it.

Wow! What a great set of head gear! Thats a shame he didnt die by your arrow but at least you found him. Will you be able to do a skull mount or at least keep the antlers?

You know what I'm thinking? (and I'll probably have to beg forgiveness after saying this on the forum)
Easy score! You're quite possibly too honest, I'd probably have stuck an arrow into that pig and tagged it and phoned it in.
Well, at least you're still hunting.

I hereby motion that Team 14 now be required to submit unedited video footage of all kills for submission into the contest.

    All in favor....

I would definitely be trying to obtain a legal tag for him.

 I didn't go so far as to say I'd use it for the contest. I got my troll post of the day out of the way

That's certainly a shame when you find one like that. Why on to KY? Is there only that one buck in Indiana?

Hope you are at least able to keep the rack. Will look good on the wall, even if there isn't the story behind it you would hope for. I would be sick for sure.

Dude that is a monster. Was he relatively close to water? We found 5-6 real nice buck skeletons (squirrels did a number on em) but all were bigger deer and all were close to the pond on the property. Wonder if there's any other big boys lying close to em, might be worth it to check

That's a shame, he's definitely a heck of a deer. Salvage tag? Positive he was hit by a car?

Yes too all. He was by a pond, and I was able to get a tag from a conservation officer so he's getting mounted or scull mounted at least. I'm not positive what killed him. There is no sign of trauma. Bad cholesterol I'm guessing. Too much high fructose from that sweet corn and acorn rage.

I'm glad you got the salvage tag. A buck like that definitely deserves a place on someone's wall. Gotta watch those sweets haha!
