I really hate to start this thread without currently having pictures to post, but I decided to go ahead and do it anyways. This morning I was eating in the local restaurant and one of the local hunters had a picture to show me. It was a crappy picture (cell phone quality), but it still was amazing. They had found a huge buck that had an inside spread of around 23" and double drop tines. They couldn't tell if the buck had been shot or not, because it was pretty badly decomposed. It really wouldn't surprise me if someone saw it and decided to try and poach it with a rifle. The deer was found about 5 miles from where I hunt. Several people had seen the buck, but had no idea how big it really was until now. They think the buck will end up scoring in the 240" area. I'm hoping to get a chance to check it out and get some pictures to post up... stay tuned.
Here's a few more pictures that give different angles. Also, I guess the buck scores more towards 256 according to an article I read.
If that deer was shot by a hunter and not recovered....words can't describe the sorrow they would be going through! Man what a GIANT!
Holy cow, what a bruiser! U don't appreciate it until you see the L side with the massive multi-stickered drop tine. Man that is a pity it end its life that way.
If I had a deer that size come out at my stand, I think I'd be shaking to hard to shoot it. (maybe not but what a adrenaline rush it would be).
Yea I saw that buck on another forum. I guess some bird hunters found it...can you imagine walking up on that bad boy? I'm glad that the antlers were found before the little critters got to it. At least we can all still enjoy it!!!
That is an absolute Beast! Can you actually imagine having something like that walk into your shooting lane. I wonder if I could keep it together!
