A friend sent these pics to me and said he heard that this deer was well known in the area and one of the guys in the pictures saw it dead in the road on the way to work and called it in and got a salvage tag. Does anyone know any more information about this? or if any of this is even true. That is one big buck and too bad it was hit by car and not someone's arrow.
Pics are so blurry, but is that even the same deer? 2nd pic definitely has double split brows. Hard to tell in the first. They just don't look like the same deer to me?
yeah I don't know. I just got them sent to me and I asked a few guys that live up there and they heard about it, but I haven't gotten a legit story yet
I'm pretty sure it's the same deer. One pic has the head pointed down the other a pretty drastic angle change.
The pics got sent to me about a week ago from a hunting buddy. It's definitely a gigantic deer, and I dk if it will score as typical or non typical. Sounds like the deer was found near Leawood, KS and the finder did obtain a salvage tag. No score reports yet and the limited info I could find on it came from bigdeerblog.com im not sure if that's a credible source or not. I'd definitely like to know more info on the story and a score.
Wrong It was hit by a guy at i435 and mission road in Leawood KS, near the site of the old Saddle & Sirloin club . The deer was well known and ran with two other very nice bucks. 198 inch typical frame. 26'' inside spread, 29 outside. over 212 total gross
My husband just got his oil changed and some guy showed him the picture and said "Look what my buddy killed in Union City (PA)" - my husband called BS on him and was telling me about it. I just sent him a link to the picture. Nice find for them. Does anyone have trail cam pictures of it, tackle?
The guy holding it in the garage must be a really little dude because that picture make it look almost unreal.
I can see why. He's gorgeous! Thanks for sharing (and knowing true story!!) Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
What a giant deer. I love how stories always get thrown around when a picture like this starts to circulate.
