This has puzzled me before, and before season starts this year how do you guys and gals do it.....If you put a lifeline up and connect from bottom and slide all the way up to top when you get in your stand....Do you adjust the Prusik Knot on the Lifeline and use it for your safety rope.....ORRRRRR.....Do you disconnect from your lifeline and hook up to a separate safety strap already around the tree........

    Thanks for your time

I personally just stay attached to the lifeline. Much easier than carrying an extra rope.

what kind of stand are you using?

For my climber, I use the rope style and just shimmy it up as I climb. For hang ons, I use the rope style the first time I go up and then the safety line is in the tree and I just use it from then on. I don't transfer once up in the hang on...just make sure you have your safety line high enough to do so.

HSS recommends staying attached to the LifeLife the entire hunt - no need for another strap.
