Been looking for a new bow. Need a 31" draw length. Really like the looks and feel of the 30" Rampage XT but am hesitant to order the 31" model because some of the specs are different and I don't know how they will effect the bow. Hoyts standard draw models use the XTS Pro Arc limbs and the long draw models use XTS 1000 limbs. These limbs also give the bow an extra 1" of ATA and 3/4" of brace height which is cool with me. I need a forgiving bow. My main concern is limbs. How do they effect the draw cycle. Any idea?

I have called the shops in reasonable driving distance and none of them have dealt with the long draw stuff very much if at all and really only order them if someone comes in and puts cash down on them. I really want to shoot one before I order one. Anybody have any thoughts on the different limbs and how they will effect the bow? Or any ideas on how I could get my hands on one without having to put the cash down first?

Getting your hands on one without buying or puting miney down on will be your biggest problem. I wouldn't think the limb have a lot to do with the draw cycle as long as they are at the same or close to the same angle. The cams make the biggest difference and they have the same cams. The feel should be the same or at least really close.

Thats was my thoughts. I think the XTS 1000 is basically a straighter version of the XTS pro arc limb which is what gives it the extra ATA and brace height. They are probably extremely close to one another. If they weren't I wouldn't think they would do it with all their long draw stuff. Thanks for the input. My girlfriend and I are making the trek to her parents house in March. Maybe I'll have better luck with the dealers around there in a least being able to get my hands on one.
