So I was at the bow shop tonight to replace my string when I came across the Hoyt Rampage. I shot it and really liked the feel compared to the Parker I currently shoot. Then I went back to the bow rack and saw the Rampage XT with $100 off the price! I wish I had time to shoot it but I had to be somewhere.

$100 off put it at the same price as the rampage with lower grade limbs and cams.

My question is, is there any reason that anyone knows of to stop me from goin back tomorrow and buying it? Does anyone have one? Pros cons?

    Thanks.

I wanted to add that I want a bow I will feel comfortable with to take out west in the future for hunts. I know they're priced like that probably to make room for new models but I don't really need the latest and greatest thing, just something good and dependable.

That's the best bow on the market for the money. Can't beat Hoyts reliability, durability, and performance. I haven't heard of a single complaint with the Rampage XT

Rampage XT is a sweet bow. Really no reason I can think of other than my friends that shoot them say they are finicky. But they love them and still shoot them so they can't be that bad. In fact I would have one if I could have gotten a hold of the Long draw version before buying. For $100 off I say jump on it if you like. Shoot it first though.

I have the Rampage XT and love the bow it is super fast and now with bow shops offering $100 off plus with the Hoyt mail in rebate for an additional $50 off you can not beat the price. I bought mine when the 2012 model was released. I feel it is one of the best bows for the price. It offers all of Hoyt's newest products.

The back wall is nice and with the new rollers and the string stop it is super quiet. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I just purchased a rampage xt a couple of weeks ago and love it, Hoyt has a $50 rebate also. Can't wait to harvest a deer with it. Quiet, super fast and rock solid. Scoot

Recently at a deer expo I shot the Rampage XT, for the money it seemed to be a pretty decent bow. As the Hoyt rep asked me if I would want to shoot the Vector I thought aww heck sure... Knowing at the time it was probably out of my price range. As I pulled the bow back I said HOLY COW! released the arrow... held the bow and looked directly at the rep and said... really???? its that much different??? He kinda smiled and said yes They are completely different.

All of that said since then I have shot the CRX. I wouldnt let go of my old Vectryx for either the Rampage XT or the CRX. I would however go for a vector! Just my two cents.

If the Rampage XT feels good for you then go for it!!! One thing is for sure... I'tll be built like a tank!!!

I purchased a Rampage XT at the end of 2010 right after they hit the market. I shot it along side of a crx 32 and i couldnt tell any difference. I shot a Mathews SQ2 for years before purchasing the Rampage XT. The hardest thing for me to get used to was the grip. I had to change up the way i grip the bow and have been shooting it alot better now than i ever could shoot my old SQ2. I also had trouble grouping fixed blade broadheads on my mayhem 350 arrows being shot through a whisker biscuit. I went to a nap apache rest and it brought my g5 montecs right in the with my field points. It did however group expandables with the fieldpoints before. As of right now for the price you about cant beat the rampage xt. I am extremely happy with the bow now that i have it broadhead tuned. They also make high wrist grips, side plates, and a wood grip as options for it. It is very quiet with the right acessories. Also groups well out to 40 yards im going to shoot it farther out than that this weekend. I had a friend wanting to trade a bowtech destroyer 340 for it but i think i like my Rampage XT better.
