I had a interesting time at a bow shop today. There are two bow shops about 25 miles from my home. I went into one to buy some broad-heads. The salesman comes and asks what kind of bow I have. I tell him I have a Hoyt rampage XT. He wasn't extremely rude but he started to tell me how bad my bow was. I didn't get mad but it did upset me a little. I have had great luck with my bow. I bought it new last year and have shot a elk and a deer with it. He told me the limbs start separating and the risers a lot of times are bent. I only bought my bow a year ago March. The limbs look good to me and so does the riser. I even had my son look at it who is a Matthews fan and he said it looked good to him. Has anybody here heard of this happening to there rampage XT? P.S I didn't buy my broad heads from him.
Always keep in mind the source. Would it suprise you a bow dealer would want to sell you a new bow? The Hoyt Rampage XT is a good bow and if you have problems, send it in it will be fixed for free. If the situation really ticked you off, go ahead and call Hoyt corporate and let them know what you heard. The local owner might get a call and would in return come down very hard on the idiot you were talking to.
I had. Hoyt rampage xt and loved it so much. Then I shot a quest torrent and I was sold. It was crazy smooth, solid back wall, and I just loved everything about it. So I traded in my Hoyt for the quest. I will say though the quest was the only bow is hot that I like more than the Hoyt. The rampage xt was awesome and I I couldn't stop raving about it. And to answer the question I had not a single problem with the Hoyt. Seems like the guy was trying to sell you a new bow.
I've been a big fan of the rampage XTs. When I bought my first bow a kid was in there buying one of those and he shot a robin hood within about 5 minutes of getting it set up.
