Just got a Hoyt Maxxis 31 on a trade, and need some help setting it up. It is currently set at a 30" draw length and I need to set it at a 27. Do I need to purchase a different module for this? If so,, where can I get them? I've been deer hunting for 20 years, but never with a bow. I know almost nothing about bows, so I'm still learning the terminology. Also any insight on this bow would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Find a Hoyt dealer in your area and they will be able to get you set up! A lot of bows need to be pressed to change draw length but I'm not sure if yours is one of them! Good luck and have fun.

Hoyts are module based and can be changed without a press. However, the XTR cam has a 2" draw length adjustment range. Sounds like you have a #3 cam which means 28" is as short as that cam will go. You would need #2 cams and new string and cables, or a different bow.
