I noticed how the Hoyt's have the bar behind the grips. I have an original nap apache and I was wondering if it would fit with that bar behind the grip. I mean the apache seems very bulky. Any one used them with a hoyt?
The only Hoyt that they won't work on is the Carbon Element. The bridge on the riser is closer to the grip. The Apache CARBON will work. That's one of the reasons it was developed.
Okay thanks on to my next question on the apache. I accidentally abraded the string and it broke. Can I get a replacement? OHbowhunter I saw your string is pink and it obviously wasn't the one it came with. What did you use? I was thinking the d loop rope was About the same Diameter.
Its red lol. Pink has no place on my hunting equipment. But the bow shop I go to has it in different colors so I had them use red to match my D-loop and peep sight. And yes its the same string I used on the D-loop.
I love it. Its a great bow and definitely worth checking out and giving it a test drive. Underrated bow for the price IMO.
I picked mine up for $599. Keep in mind they outfit the XT with Hoyts top limbs and cams. Where they saved money on it is the cast magnesium riser instead of machined aluminum.
I'm going to copy and paste from another source I read this from. Being only 13 I dont think this is a great choice of a bow. One with more easy adjustability will be better such as the Diamond Infinite Edge or find a used Razors Edge (which I bought for my son). There are three different cams that you can get on the Rampage XT, the #1, #2 and #3 Fuel cam. Each cam has its own set of modules to adjust the draw length withing the range that that particular cam services. The #1 cam is adjustable by module (1B-1E) from 24.5" to 26" The #2 cam is adjustable by module (2A-2E) from 26" to 28" The #3 cam is adjustable by module (3A-3E) from 28" to 30" If you only have to change the modules that is easy and will only cost you $15-20. If, on the other hand, you would need to change cams, this will result in needing new cams, new strings/cables, and possibly new limbs (about $300 total)
Well I only need one that adjusts from 26 up. Right now I'm shooting a bear apprentice and have the draw weight maxed out at 50. I'm looking to upgrade but in light of what I have heard on the rampage xt and the poor adjustability I may look elsewhere
I just shot the bear domain, PSE evo max and bow madness, bowtech assassin. I love all of these bows and each is very easy to adjust DL without purchasing new cams or modules
I'm not sure why the limbs would need changed also. I found that odd too. Thats just part of what I copied from another source. No but I have heard good things about the Bow Madness and the Assassin.
