Pretty sure I came to my final list. Just listing the major stuff below. Will also be buying a back up battery, lighting, cheaper tripod, bag/case for everything, and a memory card or 2. Let me know what you think of my choices and if Im missing anything.

    Camera: Sony HDR-PJ380
Camera arm: Muddy outfitters tree arm with Manfrotto 700CR2
    Remote: Sony RM-VPR1
    Mic: Azden High-performance (SMX-10)
    POV: GoPro Hero 3 Black

Mind me asking why you are going with a boom mic right away over wireless? Will you be filming yourself or will you have a cameraman? I think I would go wireless first. Think you will get more use out of it. Just my opinion.

Thats a good point...just always seen set ups with booms so figured its what I need. Ill pretty much only be self filming. have any suggestions on wireless? Are they pretty universal, work from camera to camera?

I use a boom Mic and it works out good for self videoing. You can pick up the deer walking in leaves and other wild life sounds.
