Howdy all! I'm from Mississippi originally, but haven't lived there in quite some time. I'm in the Army, and I've spent the majority of the last 13 years in other countries. I am finally stationed in the US again, and I'm looking to get back into hunting.

My wife (from Phoenix AZ) recently mentioned she wanted to learn how to bow hunt. So, I'm jumping on this.

I need to know some info, so I'll post it here and hope that someone can direct me to the right thread.

We both need bows.....what kind; what color; how much draw weight; what kind of sights; arrows..........the only thing I know about bow hunting is it has the potential to put some meat of the table.

Any help is greatly appreciated, and I'm excited as all get out.

Welcome aboard Glenn! The which bow question is broad, you would need to go to a good bow shop and shoot all that you both can to see what fits you the best. Once that's established they should be able to match your arrows. Good luck!

Welcome to the site! Have to agree. Any of todays bows will all kill wild game so that isn't an issue. Go shoot a ton of different ones and you will know which is the right bow for you!

Welcome aboard. I will echo the sentiments here in that you should shoot as many bows as possible to get a feel for what works best for you.
