If you were voted in as POTUS (President Of The United States) what would be your major changes to get this country turned around and headed in the right direction?
Fire every politician and start over on the basis you couldn't run for office if you had held any type of political office before. All new blood. and then I would probably wake up and realize i'll never be president.
I would probably just surrender to China, say LOL, and move to a little bungaloo on the south island of New Zealand.
1. Total House cleaning 2. Term Limits 3. No pay after term is over 4. Every Bill would be voted on individually no more attaching crap to make others vote your way 5. Welfare reciepants are drug tested before getting each check 6. Social security funds go back to its own account by it self not put in a general fund to be depleted 7. Find a way to cut spending and lower our national Debt 8. Start drilling oil at home (increases jobs) Two birds with one stone wow 9. Could only be on unemployment for 6 months at a time then must prove that have applied for jobs before recieving more unemployment. A followup would be done to all places applied for. I'd also help them find a job no matter what they can push carts at wal mart until an opening else where appear. Whatever it takes to feed the family 10. Go back to and take a seriously hard look and study of the Constitution 11. Help our southern border secure its border Just my first 11 I'm sure once I was in there I would start a much longer more detailed list
Reject a few, eject a few, bury a few .... and when I was finished with the politicians, activists and press I'd ........................... some more. Did I mention the big wall?
I would... -Inflict higher tariffs on goods imported into our country to actually pay off debt. -Greater tax subsidies for smaller businesses here in America. -Push legislation to reform current political practices to who and how much money can be given in support of a candidate for election. -Push and reform the Telecommunications Act of 1996 to actually do what it was meant to achieve. (although its likely far too late). -Strong interpretation of the U.S. Constitution. (mainly the Bill of Rights). -Destroy once and for all the Alien and Sedition Act. -Push legislation to reform how the money from the Fed is delivered into our economy. -No longer veto the Palestinians plight to regain their lives back by eliminating the occupation of their country and stop funding Israel with American tax dollars. Okay.. we can fund some.. but not more than all other countries combined. -Possibly reconstruct much of the Constitution with a convention.. to bring the constitution into this generation.. something Jefferson wanted. -Give states greater sovereignty.. central government less. -Build a cabinet of the most intelligent open minded people on the planet to help advise and guide the future of the country. -Reform the military-indutrial complex that exists and limit even more the use of standing armies. -Reform the drug and medical industry in its entirety. I could go on.. but my presidency would last about a week.. I'd be assassinated quickly as I'd piss off the wealthiest elites. So why bother.
get rid of college football bowl games and have a tourney, let the guys in the league wear whatever they wanted for one game of the season (no uniform policy i.e. socks, swag rags and shove your jersey up under your pads like we did back in the day) cut baseball, hoops and hockey season games down almost in half and see if the games change, also have a one and done tourney. none of this 5/7 game crap open up all state parks, close them to the public for times during the year and sell tags to archery hunters, instead of hiring "sharp shooters" to "clean up" the deer pop every kid has to say the Pledge of Allegiance every day k-12. we used to say "Amen" after but i'll let that be optional
First thing I would do is make it unlawful to give foreign aid until our own debt was paid off. We give over one trillion dollars to foreign countries in forgiveable loans every year. We give money to Israel to defend itself and then money to Syria and Egypt to not attack Israel (just one of the many examples). I thought America didn't give in to terrorists. Then, its time for an executive order limiting a politicians pay to the mean pay of their constituency. If the people they represent have an average income of $40k per year, that's what the politician gets paid. Limit politicians retirements to that equal to a military retiree's pay (i.e. serve 20 years and get 1/2 pay). Get rid of federally funded health care for politicians and their employees/families. Get rid of multiple taxation of citizens. You pay income taxes so their would not be federal taxes for items you purchase after the income taxes (i.e. gas tax, airline tax, etc). Finally, just before impeachment or assassination, sign executive order for flat tax. No more loopholes, no more excuses.
yep no foreign aid either! we gotta pick up our own house first before we can ask neighbors if they need help with theirs!
