Also being a stroke survivor, in case of a medical emergency, I can be lowered down to the ground, rather than EMS carrying a 20' ladder through the woods to where I am, climbing up and somehow getting me down.

    It made my wife more at ease with me being up in a tree again. It weighs a pound, but worth it IMO. I stow it in my viper side saddle bag so it is always there ready to hook up when I start to climb.

    We’re getting old joe. One slip could spell disaster. Plus like you said about the stroke. That could happen to any one of us.
