Was this meant for the dedicated area on this forum created specifically for crossbowers? I don't see the vast majority of this section of the forum finding value is this but it would be well placed in the crossbow forum.

"Talk about crossbows and anything pertaining to crossbow hunting right here."

    https://forums.bowhunting.com/forums/crossbows.16/

Even the dedicated "tech talk" forum area would be a better place for that sort of content.

No, its just seems odd is all. I was under the impression dedicated forum areas were meant for a reason. Perhaps they posted here in error.

What a hypocrite the post about speeding up bag target stuffing belonged in the DIY Archery and hunting products.

Seems you are still smarting for your unfortunate exchange there.

I let down my vert bow by relaxing my effort until the string goes forward. Or I let go of the string while aiming at a target.

I'll ask him when I see him. Do try to stay on topic (if you can). Your constant pouting and tedious tantrums do not serve you well.

There is no safer way to discharge a crossbow than actually shooting it. The risks of trying to manually decock risks harming the xbow and the user. They are meant to be discharged. Get a discharge target or a regular target or even a 5 gal bucket of sand and don't try to manually let it down. Be smarter, just point and shoot. The potential for something going wrong trying to let down a crossbow is far higher than simply shooting it into a discharge target.
