    Hey everyone,

I am new to this forum and also new to the sport of bow hunting. I was a non-hunter all my life. my grandfather is a huge hunter and every year he would ask me "ready to go hunt?" He tried so many times to get me to go with him and i always said no. He even got me a bow for target only. YEARS passed and he kept on asking. Finnally i started thinking about it and i made up my mind. i called him and told him "pop pop, Im Ready."
so he took me out and i had enough money for a pretty good bow a good sight and a good rest all for hunting. Ive never shot anything before except a few birds here in there with my bb gun or 22 but never a deer. BUT now i am ready to go hunting. Ive got a Mission Endeavor by mathews the draw is 27 1/2" with a 60 pound pull on it i have a NAP apache drop away rest with an HHA Optimizer-lite sight on my string i have a D-loop, peep sight, and kisser button. when i shoot i use a scott archery shark release and gold tip expedition hunter arrows with 100 grain field points because ill be using 100 grain broadheads. now heres my question! Im trying to sight in at 20 and 40 yards at 20 yards i can hit the target but i get the bow sighted in perfectly then i pull my arrow and start shooting again. My sight and everything is locked up i draw to my anchor point aim and squeeze the trigger. the shot didnt land where i aimed! what can i do to make sure im shooting in "perfect" form? what should be "perfect" form? how do i aim? One eye opened one eye closed? or both open? how to hold the bow so i dont hit my arm and im comfortable at full draw? and what ever else you more experienced hunters or archers can add to my list to help me out.

ps like i said im new to this and my grandfather lives a little to far to come down and show me and he isnt to good at explaining over the phone. so any and every tip that you guys could give me is extreamly appretiated! thank you all so much hope to hear from you soon! happy hunting :)

Go to a pro bow shop, or talk to someone that has shot for a while. It is hard to correct form over the internet.
