i started writing letters the past couple of years, I did get permission on one property, A lot of no responses, but I also received some encouragement, lots of land owners really appreciated me not putting them on the spot by stopping in and said it was very professional. I have been hand writing my letters to make it more personal but I think am going to switch over to the typed letter as it is a numbers game.

I've been dragging my feet on asking this land owner if I can walk just the edge of his corn field to get to this otherwise almost impossible to get to spot on public now for like 2 years. I'd literally only be like 10 yards into their property, but would have to walk roughly 450 yards to get to where I'm going. I don't know why I haven't asked.

I have done this many times and it does work. Offering the hunting insurance has been the real kicker to asuring the landowners are protected! It also just gets your name out there to someone who is looking and eventually your name or letter lands in the right hands! Great article!
