how to determine draw length?

    I am wanting to get into bow hunting and a friend of mine has 2 diffrent bows he is willing to let me use the problem is I have very long arms . how do you determine draw legnths and also are there any ways to decrese the amount of draw legnth you need i.e . longer loop for the release to hook to or lenghtening the strap on the release aid? thanks in advance for the help be safe!

    Go to your local pro shop they usually have bows that will measure your draw length.

    General rule of thumb on draw length is arm-span/2.5. While standing hold your arms out and palms forward. Don't strectch, just relax and stand normal. Then, have a buddy measure from the tip of one middle finger, all the way across to the tip of the other middle finger. Take the measurement and divide by 2.5. That number will most likely be your draw length.

    yup, ot take a yardstick put it in the center of your chest sticking out, and clap your hands around it. the number where your fingers are should be your draw. has worked for me every time lol
