So I killed my first turkey this past turkey season in Indiana and I have no idea how I should go about cooking it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

Ok.... now the serious answer :D ... try smoking it .... wild Turkey smoked is amazing!!!

You could deep fry it as well .... brine it up first ... same with roasting it .... brine is the key ...

Cut the breast up into 1" chunks. Soak overnite in a mild salt water. Bread and fry like chicken nuggets. Best ever!

My sister in law turned 1 breast off my April Tom into wild turkey pot pie. Delicious!!! I believe the recipe came from field and stream.

I also enjoy it smoked and fried as others have mentioned.

Thanks guys! This is very helpful! Tony, I had considered eating it raw until you suggested a "heat" source. Great idea! lol I'm open to hearing any other suggestions.

Marinate over night and wrap in prosciutto with some herb butter between the proscotto and the turkey then cook in a turkey oven bag.

    Best fowl ive even had.

Cooked it two ways as I was cooking for 8 people total. I diced all of the turkey. One half I battered in flower and fried in butter - similar to how you'd cook morels. The other half, I diced up an onion, a potato, several carrots and a tomato. I put some garlic salt, olive oil, cyan pepper and worchester sauce all mixed into an aluminum tray. I put the tray on the grill and covered for about 10 minutes, then I added turkey. Cooked until turkey was white as has been suggested. Bother were very, very good and pretty simple to make!
