Once I get into position I nock an arrow and put my release aid on, I lay the bow across my lap and remain this way throughout my hunt. How do you guys sit? Bow hanging somewhere without arrow nocked, bow hanging with arrow nocked, bow in hand without arrow nocked, or bow in hand with arrow nocked?
My reason for doing this is due to being busted while reaching for my bow. :poke:

I have an arrow nocked and since I am right handed my bow is on the left where I do not have to bring it across my body and switch hands. I am sitting most of the time but usually if I hear anything I will slowly stand up and get ready b/c you never know what may be coming.

I hold bow across my lap with arrow nocked most of the time but will hang it for portions of the hunt, especially if I stand up. If im in my climber I hold it the whole time with that nice little bar to rest it on. If its on my lap/bar I have my release clipped on about 90% of the time as well.

Arrow knocked, bow in lap/hand and release hooked on loop...even shoot sitting down if I can to minimize movement!

i always have my arrow knocked, for the first 2 hours of my sit i'll have my bow on my lap, but after that it is mostly hanging to my left.

I rarely ever sit while in a tree and I keep my bow in my hand with arrow nocked during peak times. If it's really cold or it's not what I consider it 'peak' time, the bow is in a holder on the stand. If I bother to bring my video camera, I sometimes hang the bow from the camera arm. Either way, I'm pretty klutzy getting my bow from holder or hanger.

X2 for me. Always hanging with mocked arrow. Release goes on when I leave my truck. Never know what you'll walk in on.

Arrow nocked bow hanging on my left (shoot bow right hand, gun left). I have never been busted by a deer reaching for my bow.

Arrow nocked..bow in hand..release on and in hand. Most of the time I hold the bow in an up right position, sometimes I lay it across my lap.

Nocked, thumb release on d-loop, hanging to my left. At first sign, I'll slowly grab my bow, then stand or remain sitting depending on the situation & direction of deer.

Here's a case where I opted to remove my thumb release...
