OK, neither really matters to me, I'm just curious what you come up with.

This is Blade. The all the videos & the first couple photos are from last fall, the last photos are this year. So how old would you guess. What do you think his gross score would be?

Hopefully I'll be able to tell you are for sure this season :tu:

I'm not any expert on age of deer or scoring. I'm completely guessing, but 3.5 - 4.5? 145-155 gross? That was really cool to watch though. Hopefully I can learn how to age deer a little better from this site. I really don't know what to be looking for. Well see how far off I am with both guesses?

Wow. I'm a little farther off then I thought for inches. I might have the greatest ground shrinkage of anyone. Of course this is in regards to antlers and nothing else.

Not trying to hijack your thread, but could people give their reasons or how they came up with their scores? Trying to learn. Obviously I'm quite a bit off. All I know is that usually outside their ears usually means 16 inches spread or more where I hunt. Great deer to go after though. I based my guess off of deer I shot last year that was 134. I think this deer is much better, but again I'm not an expert.

Maybe this just comes with more time.

He looks 3.5 yrs old and between 120-130" is my guess. It's pretty cool to see how they just hang out in the water like that....sneaky.

That shoreline is sandy and hard bottomed. They like to cruise the edge feeding and drinking.

They didn't use it as much this year for some reason. Maybe because the water was a bit higher (6-8")?

    I'd say right close to 120 +/-5, and definitely a 3.5yr deer.

No problem Crick. Like I said, I don't really care what his size is or age, I'm shooting him if I get a chance. I'm just curious as to what people think he'd go.

I'd love to put him down and see how close you are :tu:

For the record, I think he was 3.5 last year and 4.5 in the photos this year.

    I'm putting him in the mid 130's (134 3/4).

Looks like it'll be a week before I'm back out after him. At least it'll be around the kickoff of prime time :tu:
