How old do I have to be to hunt alone?

    I want to hunt turkey alone. I'm 14. My grandpa can rarely make it out... He's the only one that'll go with me. I will be using a bow. Is it ok to do that in Ohio? I can't find anything in the dnr. And same question with deer hunting... I really need to know.

    Here are a couple of links for you. Looks like in Ohio you need to be 15 to hunt alone. I hope you find someone to take you out this year.

    Hunter Education Requirement

    Anyone applying for a hunting license, except an apprentice license, is required to successfully complete a hunter education course. Applicants must do one of the following:

    Present a previously held hunting license.
    Present evidence of having successfully completed a hunter education course (from any state).
    Swear he or she is 21 years of age or older and previously held a legal hunting license (from any state).

    Hunters 15 years of age and younger and those of any age hunting with an apprentice license must be accompanied by an adult.
