Every two or three weeks in the summer then once at beginning of October and once at end to see what we have for the rut. Then once in beginning of November middle and end. Then December back on fields where we got pics of bucks in the summer check 2-3 times in December then usaully leave them out most of January then take down.
I am checking mine every week now but going to let them go 2 weeks this round. I usually let them go 7-10 days during season unless I am hunting by one then I check it.
So far I've planned to check them about every week. Right now its a week only because we cleared our trails and I can get in and out without touching much. After the next pull I'll probably wait 2 and see how it pans out. During the season the cam will be very close to my stand so I will just swap SDs every time I go out ( usualy every weekend).
I check mine every 2 weeks at a minimum. I have hurt myself more than I have helped when I check them any more frequent than that. That being said, if it's a new property I will check them once a week until I feel confident my cameras are in the best spots. The way I alleviate the need to check more often than two weeks is by checking cameras at one place one week and then another place the next. Definitely keeps you busy over the summer.
This year I have been checking my trail cameras every week just because we are baiting bear and one my cameras is right off the trail to the bear bait on a food plot and my other camera is on the bear bait. Been getting about 1600 pictures a week. The deer are used to us being down there I got within 20 yards from one on my atv last weekend before it took off.
I check them every week. Check mid-day and ride the 4-wheeler to almost all of them I even wear bug spray. Come season I check the ones by the stands every 3-4 days If there is a pattern developing I need to cash in on it. Trust me the deer here know my scent and probably know me by name. I enjoying trail cameras almost as much as hunting. I also love being in the woods. When I let the need to kill a deer take over my enjoyment of being out there it's time to quit.
Every 3 weeks currently. At least every month during season. But it also depends on location, some of my cams sit in areas where I should stay out of (bedding) so I really try to minimize my presence.
My thoughts as well. I'm checking weekly or bi-weekly right now. Will check on my way in to stands once the season hits, and do so a little more frequently.
I try to keep it at once a week or every two weeks during the summer, during season, I usually check them every time I go out (every weekend)
Every 3 weeks or so... My Pepin spot is 1 1/2 hour drive - so I am limited and want to conserve time away from family for hunting time in the fall. I love getting pics - but I love hunting more.
