How Often to Wax

How often do you wax your strings? I have a stick of wax. I got the bow a month ago and shoot it almost on a daily basis and have only waxed once or twice so far

 

i wax mine a pretty good amount. every 2-3 times i shoot i wax.

 

You should wax every three or four times you shoot!

 

I don't wax but use the Scorpion Venom fluid on my bowstrings. I apply it every other time
I shoot.

 

I wax when I notice the strings arent sticky anymore from the wax. Thats all dependent on how much I shoot.

 

I don't think you can wax your string too often. I even wax my cables as well. It definately prolongs the life of the string. I still have the factory Fuse string on my '07 Vectrix and it's like new. I don't think it even stretched. If it did it's certainly not noticeable.

about once a month is a good place to start with if you shoot fairly regular. excess wax and wax build up is not beneficial and can actually hinder the performance of the bow.

 

yeah i don't wax too much. probably once every two weeks on average most of the time.
