How often do you typically have the opportunity to make a shot opening weekend of bow season?

If you do your homework, do you typically get a shot at something opening weekend? Doe's included. Saying yes doesn't necessarily say that you actually take a shot. But do you get one?

 

Every year. There might be two or three times in the last 18-20 years I didn't have an opprtunity, but if I was just going after any deer I think I would have had opportunities then also.

 

Yes, I can usually muster a shot at a doe or 2.

 

Haven't had the oppurtunity yet, but maybe this year.

 

I hope to take at least a doe on opening day this year. I did not see a deer last year on it.

 

Yes more often then not,my son shot a nice buck on opening day 144" 3 yrs ago guess what early
nov while doe hunting a monster [ 160" he figured] walked by at 15yrds nose to the ground and didn't
have a clue he was there.

 

I shot my first buck with a bow on the second day of the season. Other than that I don't remember shooting anything on the first weekend although I'm sure I've had opportunities.
