Not often enough. Den is cold as a stepmother's love so I'm avoiding it for now. Not heating it for just a few minutes each day.

Living in Northern Alberta, the off-season is a little rough, but I try to shoot at least once a month, so it isn't completely unfamiliar when spring comes. When spring comes, I generally try to weekend warrior some bear hunts. So I ramp up my shooting till that season's over. Over the summer, I like to go out two to three times, just shooting 12-20 arrows, working on different parts of my form. I find that less is more during the summer season, and not learning bad habits from overshooting.

Archery season starts at the end of August here. Starting in July, I'm shooting almost 5 times a week, roughly 3-4 groups. Once I'm two weeks out, I'm shooting every day, usually before work. I'm thankful my boss lets me shoot in the shop yard, so I just show up early. My target is in the box of my truck, everywhere I go, two weeks before the season. This is when I'm starting to focus on taking shots like I would hunting, kneeling, holding for a minute before releasing, moving 5 steps one forward, one left, etc., shooting from elevated surfaces. one week out I'm shooting practice broadheads, shoot a grouping at 20 and 30 with my field tips, then shooting single shots at distances up 60. finding out with my broad heads where I need to aim if a shot is between pin distances, etc.

Some may say this is overkill, but I've been a firm believer that if we are going to take the life of these animals, we owe it to them to make it as quick as possible. That boils down to practicing as much as possible.

Expanding on my earlier reply...I can keep my bow in the shop or take in where it is heated to mid 60s. Pull the bow a few times before working in the shop.

I don't enjoy archery and target shooting all that much as a hobby so shoot very little if any off season.
Get the equipment out every year a few months ahead of our Oct 1 opener and start shooting regularly to be ready for hunting, then continue to take practice shots all through the hunting season.

I usually plink away randomly in the off-season. ramp it up during the summer getting ready for the season.

10-15 per day, as season gets closer I'll go to 30-40, normally spread out throughout the day. Saturday and Sunday morning in the summer and fall, I practice longer range shots (40 and out)
