Just wondering how often everyone eats fish and what is some of your favorite ways to cook it other than frying it?
We have been trying to cook fish atleast once a week to get the kids to eat it more without frying it.
I like to drizzle olive oil on it and then use whatever seasoning you prefer and just bake it in the oven in a glass pan. 400 degrees for just a few minutes until it pulls apart. Squeeze a little lemon juice over it and enjoy with some veggies and wild rice.
Friend at work has a great blacked salmon recipe. I have a fillet in my freezer waiting on it. But as of now....i never eat fish.
I eat tuna everyday . Outside of that not very much not a big fish eater. Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk 2

Generally once a week or so. We often prepare it the same as we would pan fry but just bake it in the oven on 350 till browned. Dip the fillets in egg then coat w breadcrumb/Parmesan cheese mixed. You can add any kind of seasoning, usually add pepper and season-all.
Not very often since I don't work in the restaurant anymore, but here were some of my favorite ways to cook it: Grilled fish tacos: 6 oz wahoo filets seasoned lightly, grilled till they flaked. Add to a warmed tortilla with fresh, thin sliced cabbage. Add some thin sliced pickled red onion and a citrus, smoky tarter sauce. Sautéed salmon: lightly season a 8 oz slab of salmon and sauté in hot pan. Top with oregano roasted tomatoes and lemon olive oil. And my personal favorite. Fresh tuna lettuce wraps: lightly season and sauté on extremely high temp a 6 oz piece of fresh tuna to a rare temp. Slice thin and serve on leaves of bid lettuce. Cover with a bed of Asian slaw consisting of cabbage, fresh sliced red pepper, ginger, sesame seeds, sesame oil and sweet soy sauce. Enjoy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I do salmon on the grill on tin foil with olive oil and lemon pepper on it. Usually use some alder wood chips in a chip box too. I've switched lemon pepper out with almost any brand Mrs dash too. Onions on top go good too. Or even salsa and onions has been good. A friend had used brown sugar, maple syrup, and minced garlic too. Pretty much anything on a good salmon fillet on the grill comes out great. I've done broiled too, and used tilapia and swaii but salmon is better Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
I cook fish probably 4+ nights a week. Filet or two of breaded tilapia baked or blackened salmon also baked...with 2 veggies. Like clockwork. Healthy and delicious.
Fish, love it, at least once a week, usually twice! Love the broiled cod, sometimes I'll do a teriyaki marinade for an hour or two before broiling (also good with Orange Roughy). Similar marinade works well for Tuna, (medallions or steaks) but on the grill. Salmon, Trout or Steelhead with some lemon pepper grilled. Or 5spice powder and finish with a basting of maple syrup when it comes off the grill :what: (got the idea from a restaurant that baked it on a cedar plank. Finally, let's not forget about mollusks and shellfish. Minced sauteed shallots in butter, a couple cups of a good white, mussels, cover and finish tossing in a few herbs. Shrimp or Oysters on the grill. Or more of a beer/barbeque sautee/simmer with the shrimp...or shrimp scampi. Split lobster tails on the grill only need a bit of butter. And though my kids probably wouldn't go for it, raw Cherrystone clams or Oysters on the halfshell with a bit of cocktail sauce, mignonette or squeeze of lemon... And then there is sushi/sashimi.
I love to eat fish raw, grilled and fried. Raw and grilled are my favorites. However, over here I don't even oven baked fish. I was mostly fine, then one day I had a slimy one and my day didnt turn out too well. Otherwise I wouldnt mind it twice a week. Back home I used to eat Tilapia alot. Grilled over fire with salt and pepper. Made a soysauce/little orange juice, thai peppers and a little vinegar for dipping sauce. Then ate i with rice. The most delicious thing ever.
baked in the oven with cajun season or for a treat every six months baked stuffed with crab clams and carckers
I like it cooked almost any of the usual ways but ceviche' is pretty hard to beat when done correctly. Not cooked... but marinated in lime and lemon juices with slivers of hot pepper, onion, horseradish and garlic. Mmmm!
