My changing my arrows without changing them is about to start. Just got a dozen tooth of the arrow "the arrow" shafts to replace my Axis arrows. There is .01 gpi difference so less than .3grains per shaft. They look nice, they feel nice, they came with nocks that look very similar to the nocks that came with my Axis shafts, they also came with 50 grain half outs. My axis have 50 grain hits and recently ive been shooting 125 grain heads. I have in my drawer 75 grain easton half outs that fit well, compared in pictures to the 50 grain ones that came with TOTA. The easton halfouts fit tighter. The TOTA ones are threaded in the back though. Ill get these fetched up and if its not still 125 degrees here I'll shoot them this weekend Tried to post some pictures but kept getting an error message,I'll try later
normally i don't , the old adage if its not broke why fix it. but i felt like tinkering this past year with my arrows. i had asked my archery shop if could play around with arrow set ups, i tried 4 different arrow set ups. my old arrow set up and 3 new ones. The shop was very helpful and let me do the set ups myself. the shop advised me that i could use what i need and we would settle up at the end. i wanted to stay with in range of my old set up to be comparable. all in all i went with the new Victory Arrows HLR and the shop advised that they gave a sizeable discount on what i did, as long as they can use my info. to assist in selling their arrows. the shop further advised that i'am a shop shooter now.
i just recently went little heavier to shooting 465 gr. added 60 grain inserts and switched from 100 grain mechanicals to 125 grain annihilator fixed blades. trying to eliminate as many mechanical errors as possible.
