Been hiking in the same trail to my stand for about 8 days now .
On the walk out tonight i noticed a new fresh rub.

I may set up a climber in the area,
SO, how often do they return to the rub? Days, weeks? or not at all?

    Thanks

Maleko, not often. And it more than likely is not just "their" rub. Many different bucks might rub on the same tree. And at this time of the year they are just rubbing for the heck of it while they move from point A to B. There might not be any rhyme or reason to so I would not invest much of your hunting time perched over one or two rubs, especially if they are out in the wide open. The most important thing at this time of the year is to cut the deer off as they move from bed to feed in the afternoon. Now if you have them seriously patterned then maybe you can cut them off as they move into bed in the morning.
