Least no one was in it. Rode a few to the ground back in the day trying to get a strap on. if you can have someone stand behind the tree lightly pulling on the tie off straps to keep it against the tree. Especially if its top heavy. Thanks for sharing it was a bit funny especially since no one got hurt.

It happens..... leverage works like that. I've ridden more than one to the ground too. Give it a good exam, and put it back up....

I move my ladder stands by myself. Just walk it down the tree.

Some of this I can relate to, regretfully. We now use more precaution such as using rope tied to the back of the stand which allows you to control the lowering of the stand. Same way in putting it up. But as the saying goes, "been there done that"

after we move it from the hill. we were walking back the his s.u.v and along the way back we need to cross the creek again.
me and my son use rock to cross and what did he use? he decided to jump a cross when he land on the embankment it give way. he fall flat on his back in the creek. after my son and i were done laughing my son said " i wish i would have video tape that"

my friend is a great guy, but if he didn't have bad luck he wouldn't have any luck at all.
