That's hard thing. It's happened to me a few times. I had beagles growing up and they would run off regular. Usually just for the day. Had one that was gone for over 2 month's. Think someone picked him up, then he finally escaped and found his way home. It's a horrible feeling and hope you find her soon! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
What a terrible feeling when your dog goes missing! Rooting for the beagle to find it's way home soon.
It was a rough night and morning. I went outside and checked off an on but she never showed up. I dozed off and on in my recliner and ended up with a pounding headache and a backache this morning. Daylight finally arrived and I spent three hours slowly driving up and down the road whistling and calling until I was starting to lose my voice. Still no sign of her. At one point I whistled and I thought I heard her. I got out of the truck and called and I heard a dog coming. It wasn't her though. It was a neighbor's beagle mix running with another dog. My heart sank when I saw it wasn't her because it sounded so much like Elly May. I don't know what else I can do except keep watch and hope she finds her way home.
I sure hope so. All I feel like doing is staring out the window watching or walking out to the gate to see if she’s there. We contacted the microchip company and reported her missing. Not sure if that will help out here in the sticks or not.
LC, I know you mentioned your pup had a chip, I was wondering if she had any ID tags that might help with her recovery? Never give up hope!
You have probably already looked, but your camper, sheds etc. anywhere she would have followed you and closed a door not knowing that she was there?
Unfortunately we don't keep collars on them when they're inside the fence here at home. I sure wish we did now.
keep looking and dont give up ... I wonder if someone picked her up ?? posters and a reward may help ....
We have a poster generated but about the only place I can post it is at the store that’s about 3 miles from where we live. This is where I live: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I knew what he meant Ty. This is an awesome place to live but you’re right. In this situation it’s the worst.
This area is pretty awesome. The only downside is the few meth heads around here, but even they haven’t caused us any problems. I genuinely felt like I was risking a lot when I knocked on a few of those doors.
We have a few meth heads around our bar as well. I don't get the meth thing at all. Hasn't everybody seen the before and after pics of meth users? What makes that look like a good time? Besides that, it seems to turn them in to criminals as well. Weird.
Well, the temps are already below freezing at the start of night two. It's supposed to get down to 25 tonight with a wintry mix of precipitation. I haven't been doing well at all, but I was holding it together. After I made myself eat something a while ago I finally took the time to look at the envelope from Hillcrest Veterinary Clinic we received yesterday. I opened it and it was a sympathy card for Madison, our lab we had put to sleep Wednesday. There were a couple of hand written notes on the top half and the bottom half had a story that I've never heard before. I can take a lot before I break, but I read this tonight and timing of it absolutely crushed me. I'm 57 years old but I broke down and cried like a little kid. It read: "The Story of the Rainbow Bridge" When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together.
I'm right there with you . I'm 46 and I broke down too.keeping you in my prayers hope she comes back soon!!!!
